All these articles say we are hoping to get citizenship. I think this word raises more shackeles than saying getting green card. Cmon, we are only thinking GC now. Ctizinship after 5 years is somewhat of a time bound process. Why don these articles say we are waiting for GC. This atleast will be more palatable to the anti leagl immigration forces.More importanatly it refelects our true problem as of now.

I had e-filed for me and my wife on 05/14.
App went to NSC. Sent docs on 05/19 - delivered on 05/21
Soft LUD on 05/17, 05/18 and on 05/24
Got receipts on 05/21
Yesterday (05/25) got ASC notice for FP for my wife.. did not know that FP is needed for EAD.
I thought last time we got FP notice.. it said app type as I-485.. that time.. in July fiasco.. we had applied for 485/EAD/AP all together
Have not got my FP notice yet

I hired an attorney from murthy for EAD/ AC21 , it was good talking to them. But make sure that, be prepared with all the questions and they tend to side track and don't let them do that. If you feel they are taking irrelevant stuff , interrupt immediately .

Slightly off topic. But do we need to send our original BC if we are sponsoring someone other than your parents. I am in the process of sponsoring my aunt and would like to know if i need to send my orginal BC. Sorry for going off topic.

Lets say my H1b renewal is pending..while its pending I used EAD for a diff company than my sponsoring company( I will be with my Sponsoring company but in bench). Then my H1b gets approved. Can I still work with a diff company till I choose to go out to stamp for H1b and once am in US i can start working for my sponsoring company again?
Yes. The only way to do a COS from AOS to H is, re-enter with appropriate status.

Your friend is capable of a lot; but incapable of asking his own questions !!! Not being cynical or rubbing salt on a wound....but whats the harm in claiming that its your own problem instead of a 3rd persons.?
Given 'your friends' patents & papers in the technical field, self employment as consultant could be possible.
Also ask opinion of attorney on actually incorporating LLC....timing of incorporating such LLC after receiving RFE can be suspect.

EIther this guy is ALIPAC or he is from ALIPAC. THose guys tried to supress us in a straight forward way, but it did not work. Then they sent some infiltrants to our site to coy us to beleive they work for immigrants. That also did not work. Now they are trying to backstab us with our own hands. 1. My view on pre-adjudication is that they processing is done on the application and is put in an approvable status. once the PD is current and the immigrant visa number is available, then such an application can be approved. but it has to be noted that these applications can be reviewed again before approving and can be denied at that time.
2. when an AOS application is being adjudicated, if the underlying terms of the 485 application are not satisfied, then it can be denied. it does not matter if the PD is current. the 485 is based on the 140, which in turn is based on a bonafide job. using ac21, you can change employers, but i still feel that you need to be employed in a similar position and not looking for a similar position.

You dont have to get it stamped if you are returning before your current stamping expires. However it is better to get stamping if you are planning travel after your current stamping expires.

I got greened today, surprisingly. Could anyone let me know what are the good numbers to reach a human in USCIS, hopefully with less wait time. I wanted to check with them what address they have on file. I filed an address change in JUne but I am not sure if they have it right in their systems. Also, is there a way to get this information without calling them.
